Moga Molestation Case: Victim's Body Cremated After Autopsy

Moga Molestation Case
The dead body of the 13-year girl, who was pushed off a running bus along with her mother for resisting rape, has been cremated in her hometown Moga today.

The cremation was conducted after an autopsy was done under the supervision of the police. Earlier, the family of the victim refused to cremate the body. The family members said that the body would only be cremated after they are served justice.

The Punjab and Haryana court will start the proceedings of the case from Monday. The court took the decision to take suo motu cognizance of the case after a letter was written to it about the brutal incident.

The police said today that it has shared the details of the case with the victim's family that was under the impression that the police have not even registered an FIR in the case.

This incident has led to widespread outcry for a out-and-out ban on the Orbit Company's buses by the Punjab government.
